While this page focuses on tuition and fees, it’s important to know that many students are eligible to receive institutional aid from the Design Studies Institute to help offset their total cost. In addition, students may also receive other external awards of grants and scholarships, further lowering their net cost.

Professional Certificate in Design Studies

Graphic & Visual Design
  • Per-CEU Tuition: $1,250.00
fashion Design
  • Per-CEU Tuition: $1,250.00
Interior Design
  • Per-CEU Tuition: $1,250.00

Graduate Degrees

Master of Design
  • Per-Credit Hour Tuition: $1,750.00
DOCtor of design
  • Per-Credit Hour Tuition: $1,900.00

Technology fee
  • This fee supports the maintenance and improvement technology infrastructure and software licenses used for educational purposes.
  • Cost per term: $100.00
transcript fee
  • This fee is charged for processing and issuing official Design Studies Institute academic transcripts and records to a person that is not the student or to a third party.
  • Cost per copy: $20.00

Graduate Degrees

residency fee
  • This fee covers costs associated with accommodations, facility usage, and participation in residency-specific programs and events during designated residency periods at The Design Studies Institute.
  • Cost per residency: $2000.00
orientation fee
  • This fee supports the maintenance and improvement technology infrastructure and software licenses used for educational purposes.
  • One-time fee: $150.00
