1. Familiarize yourself with our Academic Programs
The Design Studies Institute offers a professional certificate program with three concentrations and two graduate degree programs. It is important to understand our academic programs and how they align with your own creative ambitions and career aspirations.
2. Review the application requirements
Admission to each of Design Studies Institute’s programs requires meeting a specific set of requirements. It is important to understand the application requirements for the program in which you’re interested in applying to.
3. Introduce yourself and express interest in an Academic Program
Each prospective student is assigned an Admissions Counselor. Your Admission Counselor will schedule a time to discuss your interest in our Academic Programs and answer questions about the admissions process. Your Admission Counselor works with you to define the next steps toward applying. Your Admissions Counselor is your partner throughout the application process.
4. Connect with an Admissions Counselor
Each prospective student is assigned an Admissions Counselor. Your Admission Counselor will schedule a time to discuss your interest in our Academic Programs and answer questions about the admissions process. Your Admission Counselor works with you to define the next steps toward applying. Your Admissions Counselor is your partner throughout the application process.
5. Submit your application and required materials
Working with your Admissions Counselor, you will complete the admissions application and compile the required materials for your Academic Program. Your Admission Counselor will assist you in developing your application that will be presented to the Admissions Committee.
Unofficial documents, like transcripts or English proficient test scores, can be used as part of your application. Once admitted, you will need to submit official copies of any unofficial document to the Admissions Office prior to your matriculation.
6. Get to know the DSI Community
Prospective students are invited to attend public DSI events and meet other students, staff and faculty. Prospective students may also be invited to participate in an interview with the admissions committee or with faculty members upon the submission of a complete admissions application with all required materials.
7. Review your application decision
After you apply, you will receive an email with your admission decision.
