Dr. Louise Deglin is an Assistant Professor of Art and Design History specializing in the art and cultural heritage of the Indigenous Americas. Dr. Deglin’s research explores artistic practices, cultural exchange, and materiality within ancient empires, with a focus on the Wari Empire in the Andes. Her research has led to publications in leading journals and she has contributed to catalogue entries at renowned museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Outside of academia, she has utilized her knowledge of art and brand direction to inform visual communication strategies for multinational firms.
