Students will develop their fashion illustration skills in this course, exploring freehand and digital drawing methods used in the apparel industry. They will learn fashion terminology and study garment components to create design ideation sketches and technical flat drawings. Through experimentation with different drawing media and techniques, students will learn to communicate various human forms and fabric rendering solutions. By analyzing historical and current fashion illustrations, students will gain the skills needed to effectively communicate and market their fashion designs.
