Course Description

This course explores the role of global perspectives in shaping contemporary design practices, situated in the context of the Caribbean. Students will examine how designers engage with diverse cultural influences and address issues of cultural exchange, appropriation, and hybridity. This course requires attendance at an on-site residency that will leverage the local content to shape course topics; doctoral learners will participate alongside masters-level learners.
