Course Description

The contemporary design museum shapes cultural narratives about design and creates perinance in the evolution of design history. Learners will make site visits to design-focused museums and exhibits, while engaging in expert dialogues with museum professionals. Learners will critique the exhibitions and curatorial approaches encountered, while producing a scholarship that advances the curation of design in contemporary museum contexts.This course requires attendance at an on-site residency that will leverage the local content to shape course topics.
